My Design Draft. A little bit more information about my design.
25/03/2009
The design of my website is interesting and involves alot of swirls, bright colours and silouhettes of party people. I have decided to develop my design in illustartor due to not having much experience in photoshop. I learnt a few things about designing for a website these included:
- Your site needs to be a minimum of 1024 by 768.
- I also leant to look at other sites to find text that I think is suitable and legiable.
My design roughly took me two days to do. I did alot of mucking around with things and then decided i didnt like things.
Overrall im pretty happy with my design. Love the brightness of it.

Why Code Counts
Date: 20/03/2009.
There are many different important things that need to be learned and understood when developing a website.
Some of these include:
-CSS
-HTML
-Photoshop
-Flash
-Colour
-Layout
-Design.
It is important to make sure you constantly view your site in a browser when developing. Firefox is a good example of a browser to use. Internet explorer is not a suffcient browser.
Online Blog
Due to not having the internet at home I have had to record my thoughts and progress on my website in a diary. I am uploading everything now onto my blog. I will put the dates in when I made the notes in my diary.
Seventh Characteristic: Writing must be greater then 6 point.
The seventh characteristic that my website will include is type larger then 6 point. It is important that each page is legible.

Sixth Characteristic: Bright Colours!
The sixth characteristic that I would like my website to include is a design aesthetic characteristic. I would like the new stonefest website to include bright colours such as bright yellow, green, blue and pink. When users enter into the site I want it to grab their attention, which will then encourage the user to explore the website further. Please see example below of the Good Vibrations website. NICE & BRIGHT!

Fifth Characteristic: Join mailing list/ subscribe here.
The fifth characteristic that I would like to include on the homepage of my website is a join mailing list or subscribe here. I would like an email to be sent out once a month updating users on Stone Fest. Please see below examples of the Big Day Out website and Cleo website.

Fourth Characteristic: Rollover States.
The fourth characteristic that I would like my website to include is rollover states over the main navigation headings. When a user places the mouse over a main heading a drop down will appear and show the user what else they can discover within that particular heading. Please see below example of the Triple M website that includes this characteristic.

Third Characteristic: Logo to link back to homepage.
The third characteristic that I would like my website to include is a small graphic that acts as a link taking users back to the homepage. This graphic or logo will appear on every page within the site. It is important to include this as it is a quick and easy way for users to get back to the homepage. Please see below examples of the Good Vibrations and Triple M website that use this characteristic.

Second Characteristic: Backround Image
The second characteristic that I would like my website to include is a backround image. The backround image will stand as a boarder. The text will be in a seperate text box which will be centered in the middle of the page. All the websites that I have choosen take on either a plain boarder or a backround image. Please see below examples of the Big Day Out and Good Vibrations website.
